Tile windows applet

Hi,
[Q]

I've developed a tile windows applet. It still needs some work, but thought I'd see if anyone had any feedback (and see if it works on other people's systems...).
[Q]

Oh, and I can't draw for toffee, so apologies for the rubbish icon. If anyone finds this useful, I'll try and twist someone's arm into drawing me a better one.

Not having any luck trying to do an inline image, so here's a link.

Ah, so that's what it does. Neat.

Also, that's a lot of USB drives.

Probably should've realised my description wasn't going to mean that much to anyone else...
[Q]

Ever since I got a shiny new widescreen monitor I've been looking for a way to do this, and haven't found a satisfactory one yet, so decided to quit complaining and do something about it myself.
[Q]

(Don't know what's going on with the USB drives. I have precisely zero USB drives attached at the moment. I haven't rebooted for a long while though so I guess they're not getting removed when I unmount. No idea why.)

I love it when people stop complaining and do something about it themselves :)

Thanks it's quite a good idea. A very good idea : graphical tools to control tiling behaviours are harshly missing
[Q]

Why not using the "tile" from Greg Schenzel?
http://ftp.unixdev.net/pub/debian-udev/pool/main/t/tile/
an applet could activate it, while the dependency seems minimal.
[Q]

Again, thanks, I did not expected to find such an applet.

Mmmmm... new applet.
[Q]

As always... when you're feeling like getting this into awn-extras just get in touch.
[Q]

#awn on freenode is probably the best way.

I've updated this:
[Q]

- windows now tile over just the area available to windows rather than trying (and failing) to tile over the whole desktop
- rewritten to use awnlib
- added some little icons in the right-click menu to show what the various tiling methods mean
- added a "show desktop" item to the menu so I can reduce the number of applets I have in my dock

I could never get this to work for me, and besides, no dependencies (beyond gtk) seemed better than one :)

A couple of updates:
[Q]

- added a preferences window to allow changing what each mouse button does, the icon in the dock changes to reflect the correct left button behaviour
[Q]

- added a "maximise all windows" option
