Limitations of Affinity?

The last couple days, when I tried to launch affinity it looked really weird. Huge chunks of it's window were blanked out. Today when I tried from command line I got:

I hadn't really done too much since last trying except change theme engines so, I switched from my QtCurve theme to Clearlooks and everything looked normal again.

Seems kind of weird to me.
