The spotlight effect?
#7084 by Decline (0.9207) posted on 9:01am Sunday, August 26th, 2007
Where did it go? Is it hard fixing it for the new bzr versions? It did work almost perfectly before, so is it really so hard getting it to work on the new bzr? Has anyone tried? Lots of nice stuff happening on the applets-side, and the awn-curves, but have everyone seem to forgot the hover effects? Anyone who fixes the spotlight effects gets a kiss! :P

Maybe a tricky situation....
[Q]

- If Neil is away who has authority to merge new
functions to awn ?
[Q]

- Start a new branch with both awn-curves and spotlight ?
[Q]

- If dolfje have time over, change his patch to
awn-curves branch ?

I believe that a majority wants awn-curves and some also wants
to test spotlight until its stable.

I have already adapt my patch:
http://www.alasal.be/AWN
[Q]

If you download the usual awn, you need to patch the root file,
if you download the curves version, you need to patch with the curves patch. (The spotlight will appear a little bit to low, but that's OK for now, it was just a try :p)
[Q]

Stil don't forget to get the two images from http://www.bruges-guides.com/dolfje/ and put them in the data/active folder
[Q]

For now I use 2 patches because it's easy. If you apply the root-patch to the curves branch, it will conflict only on 1 place and that I adapt in the curves-patch manually.
[Q]

So tonight, I will make a fully functional curves patch, where the spotlight is on the wright height (bringing the curves 0.1beta to 0.1)

Normally if it opens it should fall out of the sky and bounce three times. If you open a launcher it gives you that spasm.

The fault that you get, is strange. Its says that there is a task (not a launcher) without the usual AwnTask format.
